Zheng Jia places second in the LSU Three Minute Thesis Competition
Congratulations to Mr. Zheng Jia, a Ph.D. candidate of Mechanical Engineering under Professor Sunggook Park. He won the 2nd place prize in the LSU Three Minute Thesis (3MTĀ®) Competition with the presentation entitled āDNA Sequencing by Coin-Size Deviceā. The competition was held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. The Three Minute Thesis (3MTĀ®) is an international research communication competition. The exercise challenges Masters and Ph.D. students to present a compelling oration on their thesis topic and its significance in just three minutes. 3MTĀ® develops academic, presentation and research communication skills and supports the development of research studentsā capacity to effectively explain their research in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
