“So much has happened over the past 10 years, but LSU Science Café has been a constant. For example, we’ve provided a platform for LSU professors to share their expertise with the community following the 2016 floods; we pivoted to a virtual broadcast during the pandemic and connected with people in Baton Rouge and beyond; and now our audience can continue to get access to reliable, relevant information through LSU Science Café both in-person and through our livestream in partnership with NPR affiliate WRKF 89.3FM.”
Robert Twilley, LSU interim vice president of research and economic development
LSU Office of Research & Economic Development launched the event in 2013 and has sponsored it for the past 10 years. Campus Federal Credit Union and WRKF 89.3FM are co-sponsors. LSU Science Café is part of an international Science Café . Watch previous LSU Science Café talks here: . Visit lsu.edu/sciencecafe to learn more.
